ALASKA CRUISING 2010

HIGHLIGHTS:  1 Night Vancouver with sightseeing tour, Sawyer Glaciers & Tracy Arm, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, Inside Passage, 1 night Seattle & more 

DAY 1 ... Our group flies to Seattle and transfers by motorcoach to the lovely city of Vancouver, BC.  Overnight with dinner. 

DAY 2 ... Our voyage begins in VANCOUVER of British Columbia, Canada and we have time to explore this beautiful city of the Northwest ...its waterfront, Gas Town, China Town, gardens and parks on a sightseeing tour before boarding the ship. The 7 Night Cruise will be aboard the Five Star Vista Class M/S Zuiderdam, with all your meals included.

DAY 3... Your adventure is just beginning, as your ship cruises through the INSIDE PASSAGE, some areas very narrow and others where it is difficult to see land. 

DAY 4... You enjoy scenic cruising into TRACY ARM & SAWYER GLACIERS, conditions permitting. You arrive in JUNEAU,  the isolated capital of Alaska, not accessible by land, and a major destination for sea planes.  You may just want to sit on deck and watch the sea planes land on the water all around you

DAY 5...  Our port of call today is the small, but fascinating town of SKAGWAY, the gateway to the Yukon Gold Rush.  Step back in time as you walk the streets of the village where once throngs of miners landed to begin their journey to fulfill their dreams of riches and treasure. You might want to take the optional excursion on the White Pass Railway to follow the trail of so many fortune hunters.

DAY 6 ... This day should be one of the top highlights of your trip as your ship glides into spectacular GLACIER BAY, one of the great natural wonders of the world.  With towering mountains of ice meeting the frigid waters of this beautiful setting. Watch for the thunderous roar of an iceberg "calving" in these massive rivers of ice. 

DAY 7 ... Our fun continues as we cruise into the "First City" of Alaska, KETCHIKAN.  This picturesque city is built on piles out over the water and clings to the slopes of Deer Mountain. There is plenty of native culture to enjoy here in Alaska's southeastern city.

DAY 8... Today is another day of admiring the beauty of coastal Alaska as we return through the INSIDE PASSAGE.  Great time to enjoy the many activities aboard your ship.

DAY 9 ... Our ship arrives back in Vancouver, and the group is met by a motorcoach that will take us back into the United States, as we travel to Seattle for a mini sightseeing tour and an overnight with dinner.

DAY 10... We fly home after an unbelievable trip to the ALASKA & Pacific Northwest!
