HIGHLIGHTS: Amish Tour & Dinner, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, Production of "Joseph", Gettysburg, Shenandoah Valley ... 8 meals
This trip combines "Music" with the beauty of the rolling hills and rocky terrain of Pennsylvania and the inspirational Amish People of Lancaster County, immigrants from Germany who settled in the area to live, farm and carry on their religious traditions. A special treat will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the fabulous stage production of "Joseph", as well as a dinner show
at the Dutch Apple Theatre.
SEPT 20 ... Our group departs and travels thru Georgia and the Carolinas to Virginia. Overnight and we enjoy our Welcome Dinner to get acquainted with our new travel friends.(D)
SEPT 21... Breakfast, and we travel through Baltimore, a city that has renovated its downtown into a delightful attraction, and continue on to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for a two night stay. Today we witness the dramatic musical of "JOSEPH" ... the amazing production at the Sight & Sound Theatre. This Biblical based show should make for a very inspirational afternoon. Then we have a typical Amish dinner together as we settle into Amish Country. (B,D)
SEPT 22 ... We enjoy a full breakfast before boarding our deluxe motorcoach for a narrated Amish Farmland tour. We will ge
t an up close look at how these quiet German descendants live, without the luxury of electricity and automobiles, riding about in their horse-drawn buggies and plowing fertile fields with mules. These farms are some of the most productive of any in the world and the Amish people cultivate and tend to these lands by their own hands, faith and the sweat of their brow. The afternoon is free to explore the area before we prepare for our evening attraction. Dinner and show at the Dutch Apple Theatre... "GEORGE M" in a fun, playful musical performance (B,D)
SEPT 23... Breakfast, & we travel west to the small town of Gettysburg, site of the bloodiest & most famous battle of the War Between the States. A local guide boards our bus & narrates the details of this 3 day campaign in July of 1863. Our journey continues as we travel down the Shenandoah Valley to Roanoke, where we will spend our last night and celebrate with a special Farewell Dinner. (B,D)
SEPT 24 ... Breakfast, & we continue our journey south, down Fancy Gap and across the Carolinas to our homes, with fond memories of a most inspirational travel experience. (B)
