SPRING GETAWAY TO THE CHATEAU ELAN

     Join us for a relaxing 2 night stay at the Chateau Elan Winery, Spa & Resort, a 3,500 acre Four Diamond, Four Star, resort and conference destination. Opened in 1985, the Inn and the full-production Winery inside the Chateau is the largest producer of premium wines in Georgia, and recognized by Wine Spectator for exceptional vintages with approximately 75 acres currently planted in Vinifera French and French-American hybrid grapes. Among 22 varietals produced are Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier and several popular Muscadine wines.

MAR 23 ... We travel across Georgia and arrive at the lovely Chateau Elan for a 2 night stay.  Upon arrival, the group will enjoy a tour of the winery with tasting. Later we check into the resort with dinner in the Versailles Room  (D)

MAR 24 ... Breakfast in the resort and the day is yours to enjoy ... take in a round of golf, try one of the Spa Treatments, or just relax.  For those that would like to ride up to the alpine village of Helen, or Dahlonega, site of Georgia's and America's first "Gold Rush", or a visit to the Grand Georgia Mall, largest in the Southeast,  a bus will be available during the day for these activities.  (B)

MAR 25 ... Breakfast, and the morning is yours for activities, golf, etc. We will depart at noon, with a stop for lunch at the Blue Willow Inn of Social Circle, voted Best Southern Restaurant by Southern Living.  With local specialties, vegetables and meats, this is a wonderful way to end our trip.  (B,L)
