WINTER DESERT GETAWAY

     Fly away from the frigid winter climate to southern California and Nevada.  Arriving in Los Angeles, you will have 2 nights to enjoy the sights, beaches, Hollywood, and more before going to Palm Springs for an overnight getaway in this resort for the rich and famous. Then its on to Las Vegas, the exciting "Oasis in the Desert", as we stay here for 2 nights and enjoy the excitement of this city that never sleeps, before returning home.

FEB 19 ... We meet at the airport for our transcontinental flight to Los Angeles.  This amazing city of Southern California will be our home for the next 2 nights.  Welcome Dinner. (D)

FEB 20 ... Our tour shows us the many familiar sights of this sprawling city...Hollywood, Grumman's Chinese Theater, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and we will make our lunch time stop at the Farmers Market.  The afternoon we will have time to walk out on the Santa Monica Pier, stroll the beach, and enjoy the Pacific breezes and sights.  Dinner.  (B,D)

FEB 21 ... This morning we head across the desert-lands to posh Palm Springs, home of the "Rich and Famous", and situated at the base of San Jacinto Peak, 10,804 feet high.  We'll enjoy a tour that features famed Palm Canyon Drive and the Desert Fashion Plaza, boasting names such as Gucci, Saks, and Cartier, Palm Canyon with its 15 miles of 2,000 year old Washingtonian palms trees, and the beautifully manicured desert gardens of the area.  Overnight. (B)

FEB 22 ... Breakfast and we cross the desert as we head for exciting Las Vegas for 2 nights.  You will have the remainder of the day to get familiar with this city that never sleeps.  (B,D)

FEB 23 ...Your day to enjoy this amazing city ... tour the different themed hotels ...The Venetian, Paris, New York, MGM, The Bellagio, and many more.  Take in one of the exciting shows of the city, or just try your luck in the casinos. There are so many great restaurants, so you can choose your own tonight.  OPTION:  A Tour of Hoover Dam ... $45  (B)

FEB 24 ... Its been a wonderful way to get away from the winter's chill, but its now time to return after your "Winter Desert Getaway".  (B)
