OCT 14 ... Our exciting fall foliage adventure begins as we travel across the Carolinas and begin to climb our way to our destination,  the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge. What better place to visit during the color season in the fall as we arrive for our overnight with Dinner and the "Smith Family" Show.  (D)

OCT 15 ... We stop at Cumberland Falls to witness the beauty of these falls and enjoy lunch.  Our destination is the Mountaineer State of West Virginia, and what better place to visit during the color season in the fall as we arrive for an overnight.  (B,L)

OCT 16 ...  This morning the group boards the train for an exciting day excursion into the mountains. Traveling by rail and marveling at the sights and spectacular scenery, we chug through the New River Gorge and under the tallest single-arch bridge in America. Arriving in Hinton, WV at 12:30pm, the town is alive with an entertaining street festival.     Mid-afternoon as we depart, everyone should be singing ... "Country Roads, take me home, to the place I belong... West Virginia, Mountain Mama, take me home." Traveling into Virginia to Abingdon, oldest settlement west of the Allegheny Mountains, our group experiences another highlight ... an enjoyable performance at the historic Barter Theatre. Overnight in the area.   (B,L,D)

OCT 17  ... Breakfast and we make our way into the Smoky Mountains with our lunch stop at the elegant Grove Park Inn of Asheville, NC for their mouth-watering Sunday Brunch.   What a way to end such a wonderful trip. (B,L)
